A ministry of care provides a warm meal to between 50 and 70 homeless people every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evening.
Soup with added vegetables is cooked with love and served with bread to the homeless who sit down and enjoy their meal in the mission centre hall. Clothing is handed out when it is available and during winter, blankets are distributed.
Volunteers cook and serve the meal and are also on hand to provide basic medical assistance, i.e. bandaging sore and bleeding blisters, providing flu medication if available.
Meals are served from 18:00 to 19:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 17:00 to 18:00 on Sundays. Volunteers are most welcome to help out for an evening.
Donations of soup powder, fruit, vegetables and any food items which can be added to the soup to make it more nourishing, are always welcome.
